• Federal Investment Tax Credit/Grant (ITC)
  The federal government is offering a 30% investment tax credit on residential solar property placed into service between 2010 and December 31, 2016.
• Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) Earnings
  SRECs are a tradable commodity with a market value based on the environmental attributes/benefits of electricity generated by solar; a clean renewable energy source. One (1) SREC is earned each time a solar electric system produces 1,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity. Currently valued at $650, an average 600 square foot southerly facing roof area with solar panels could generate approximately $4,000 in SREC income.
