- Performed an initial site investigation to determine:
- The location of a reported 6,000 gallon underground storage tank (UST)
- Who qualified as the Potential Responsible Party (PRP)
- Researched historical activities, property uses, and ownership records
- Completed investigative activities utilizing a ground penetrating radar and preliminary excavation activities to determine that the UST was actually 20,000 gallons in size
- Performed an abandonment of the 20,000 gallon UST system
- Excavated, transported, and properly disposed of all non-hazardous contaminated soils
- Performed preliminary soil and groundwater sampling for laboratory analysis, which detected an impact to groundwater from multiple off-site sources
- Prepared and submitted a Site Investigation/Remedial Investigation Report
Project Highlights
- Based on forensic age date sampling, specific groundwater analysis, and historical documentation research, Entech identified other PRPs who were obligated to address the related environmental matters
- The future financial responsibility of Allstate Insurance Company was eliminated
