The Entech Group received a letter May 3rd, 2011 from the NJEDA / NJDEP concerning the UST Grant Program which was distributed state-wide to companies certified to perform oil tank removals in NJ. The subject of their letter was “The Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Fund (UST Fund)”. This program was greatly beneficial to homeowners looking for underground oil tanks removal in NJ because you were able to get tank removal services at little to no cost. The letter explains that there are insufficient funds for the program, and as a result there is a hold and possible cancellation of the grant funding programs. Effective May 3, 2011, new UST Fund applications for the non-leaking tank program will not be processed, however, applications for the leaking tank program will be date stamped and held until if and when sufficient funds become available.
